its Like Glock was completely reinvented. But I gues the two drivers are the Leo and CCW mkt, and they will be stuck on 9mm forever.
Oh I'm sure they will in the future. It will be that years amazing innovative release.... Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
This is an interesting thread. I agree that the shorter slides on bigger frames seem to be working great. It’s probably my aging eyes, but I also really like the feel of shooting the 45 and 43X. G45 has moved to the top of my shooter list for sure. Never go to the range without it. 26X? Sure, count me in. I can always use another Glock. M
Agreed. Hiding the grip is harder for me, as well, especially in the comfort dept. 19 slide and 26 grip sounds good to me, too. Not worried about longer slide balance on two finger grip. It's not a sledge hammer.
Years ago, when I was all .45 or nothing, I had TXPO cut my 21’s grip to fit the 10-round magazines. The work was awesome and the gun functioned perfectly. But it was still too big for me to carry comfortably. A friend wanted it bad so I sold it to him at a profit. I think the G-45 is my favorite Glock nowadays. But I’d sure like to hold one that was the opposite; A 17 slide on a 19 frame. Surely they have a lot of extra 17 slides and 19 frames lying around after putting all those G-45’s together, amiright!?! Would also like to see a 19 slide on a 26 frame. Having a small grip really is the way to go on a Glock. If I want more rounds all I have to do is put in a larger capacity mag with an X-grip on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I do like it a lot, and I’m sure the numbers probably support that. But the King of Glock’s hasn’t been released yet. G-36 in 10mm! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That would be very nice. But it might have a bit of recoil. And yes id buy one. Crappy chalkboard finish and all. It would be so accurate. 10mm g36.
The G47 slide ( which is the same length as a G17) will fit on a Gen5 G19 frame. I believe Glock will release this set up as a new crossover model. I would also like to see a G26 slide on a G19 frame.
I agree with everything you said. When the G-45 was first announced I thought it was backwards. I thought for the idea of CC that it should be the opposite. Then I held one. Then I bought it. I still think a 19 slide on a 26 frame would appeal to the CC market because a lot of people still believe the 9mm needs a 4” barrel. But after much research I’ve found your data to be true, the 26 carries better than the 45 and I’m literally giving up ~25 FPS. My ideal carry duo is a G-45 and G-26.
