Not recommended to use reloads in Glocks.

:welcome: to GT. Get a conventionally rifled barrel for lead reloads.

No you can't. You'd have to use an aftermarket barrel with conventional rifling to shoot unjacketed lead. I wouldn't recommend using reloads unless you did the loads yourself and know what you're doing with reloading.

i have personally shot a couple hundred rounds of my own lead reloads through my stock barrels at a time.
i then clean my barrel, i havent had an issue.

this is not to say you wont have an issue. im merely stating what i have personally experienced.
    9mm for me

Um, I looked for the data and can't find it, but there was a study that recorded barrel pressure for lead rounds fired through regular Glock barrels...

I'm glad that you have not had problems but according to that, pressures start increasing rather quickly.

If I find the data again, I'll post it here.

I'll add to this why it's recommended not to shoot lead out of your factory barrel. Glock uses a polygonal rifling, which lead will foul up like nobody's business. The lead builds up in the barrel, decreasing the actual I.D. of the barrel, which increases the pressure. Then BOOM! Your pistol looks like this.

Reloads can also cause a kaboom from overpressure, it's just caused by too much powder instead of barrel build up.

there's not anything wrong with using "reloads" assuming the reloader knows what he is doing, but they need to be with jacketed bullets--- I like the FMJ bullets for cheap practice.

Greetings! Make sure that you feed that new Glock a healthy diet of good clean ammo.

OMG never seen nothing like that before. I have had Glocks for years. My first Glock was in 1990 and many more after that. WOW

    I don't shoot YOURS.....
    YOU don't shoot mine!
....and I WON'T shoot ANYONE'S reloads in my Glock!
Paranoid? Maybe...but I'm just that much safer.....
There's enough other bad stuff in the world to worry about....
