    Hi,

Got a new G26, and put about 150 rounds in it just after I bought it (gun shop has a range). I now have the black finish worn off the front of the barrel hood, in the front that block that contacts the slide.

Is that kind of wear normal, or did I goof by not field stripping it when new and oiling the inside of the slide? Once done, I stripped and cleaned it, and oiled it as per the manual.

By the way, what's the best oil for a Glock, and the best way to spread it around the slide grooves (not counting fingers)?

    Thanks!

Your worry about the slide wear is pretty much identical to one of my first questions I had when I got my first Glock. :) Anyway, don't worry about it, you didn't do anything wrong.
