Long time shooter, but new Glock owner (and new forum member). I've had a new G23 for a couple of weeks now and put a couple of hundred rounds through it. I had also picked up a 40 to 9 conversion barrel (LW). Both have worked flawlessly and quite accurate. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I've reloaded 9's for a long time and now will learn the tricks of the 40--can't wait. I plan to see how the 23 carries compared to the Kahr that I now tote.

Congrats! The G23 was my first firearm and it's my favorite.

    Congrats!
The G23 is a good handgun, I have one and like it a lot.
You may wish to check out Hodgdon's Longshot powder for the 40 S&W. I use it and find it is good for medium to hot loads.

G23C--the Kahr is a CW9. It is a perfect size for carry IMO, handles +P without a problem, but I've had a couple of FTF issues with reloads (either the primer-PMC-or seating depth although I've never had that issue arise in thousands of other reloads). No FTF on factory ammo which I use when carrying. Other than the reload glitch, the only real downside is capacity, and some would criticize the caliber.

Thanks for the advice on Longshot. I will have to give it a try. I have on hand PPistol, Unique, and Autocomp. Figured I would start with Power Pistol and go from there. I have no experience loading Longshot, but if I can find it, I will give it a try. Thanks again.
