Hello everyone just joined the forums yesterday, so here's my first post. I purchased a Glock 19 gen 3 this past Friday. The first 2 magazines shot flawlessly. However eventually the slide didn't return to its firing position and when I pulled the slide back, I had to dump the load from the chamber, this has happened a few times since. Any ideas on what may cause this?

Are you new to shooting pistols?
When you shoot the pistol, do you have a firm grip?
What kind of ammunition are you shooting?
Did you clean and lube the pistol before taking it to the range?

Many pistols have failures during the first few magazines......I had jams with my Glock 30sf during the first couple of mags, but none since and I have over 3,000 error-free rounds through mine. It's probably too early to worry about your 19.... Shoot a few hundred rounds through it and see if things clear up.....

    Bad ammo. Bad recoil spring.
