Ahhhh, everyone replaces the plastics sights so they just stick whatever they have in the bin on the pistol at the factory now.
My 34 Gen5 came with the 6.1 sight and was way low at 10 yards .
Tried the 6.5 but had to go up to 6.9 the get the POA/POI correct.
The front sight is much easier for me to replace...
I ordered a adjustable rear sight, $20. That should take care of it.
How about leaving the sights alone and PRACTICING, you'd be surprised how the sights heal themselves
He shot it off a rest. Also, sounds like he knows what he's doing. Sights are not going to heal themselves with practice. it's just a waste of ammo.
At 12 yds with the same, OEM barrel?? No...anything you run with the same bullet is hitting the same spot unless your load dribbles the bullet out onto the bench.
Basically if it shoots low either lower the front or raise the rear. The adjustable sight should fix it.Easy one.
I have to use Gen 4 sights on all four of my Gen 5’s
They all shot 4” low just like yours with the factory sights or Gen 5 Agent sights from Brownells at 39 feet.
What, exactly, is supposed to be the zero distance for factory sights?
Everyone seems to have their preferred zero distance and everyone is seemingly disappointed.
To get exactly what you want, you'll need adjustable sights.
I can no longer see the front sight clearly so I am forced to use an RMR. Besides the ease of shooting, I can now get my preferred zero for whatever load or distance I feel like.....
You don't need adjustable sights if your zero conditions don't change. You just need to decide how you want the sights and set them up that way.
With fixed sights, you know they are properly adjusted if they are properly attached to the gun. Adjustable sights can be unintentionally adjusted.
I also am curious to know the zero distance. Is it 25 yards?
Also did Glock change to combat sight picture with the Gen 5? Since my G4 has 6.5 and the G5s have 6.1.

What he said.
Glock screwed the pooch by putting the incorrect rear sights on some but not all Gen 5 Glocks.
