Noticed a few differences in the Gen4 23's... Here are a few photos and the things that I've noticed. It's still new and hasn't been fired, but I did do a polish job on all the internals. The trigger isn't as light as I want it but it will do. I also installed a ghost 3.5 connector and ZEX stronger trigger spring.

    Pics:

Striker end looks a little different than the gen3 19 that I own.

New G23 Ejector. 28926 printed on it.

The extractor has a number 2 on it.

No scratches on either side of the extractor. Which tells me it has free play in it.

Extractor claw looked slightly more aggressive.

Here's another shot from the top how the ejector is shaped.

Don't know if you can tell in the picture but the coating they used resembles the old very shiny finish on the gen3's...

Forgot to mention when I detail stripped it, the extractor literally fell out EFFORTLESSLY just by hold the slide sideways. I'll have a range report in a few hours to show how it goes. Only thing I'm not happy with is the heavy-ness of the trigger pull even with the polish, trigger bar dimple removal, and ghost connector.

Enjoy the photos. Report coming soon.

The pistol factory spent shells were January twenty something of 2012.

Congrats, thanks for the great pics, I have a Gen4 23 as well and have had no issues with it after 1000 or more rounds through it....

Nice Pics, looks like you installed a extended slide release/lock. Is that what the Crescent wrench was for??:tongueout:

Have fun shooting today. I have a Gen 4 G22 with the G23 on the want to buy list.

Congrats. Are you going to get a G32 barrel for it?

    It's pretty nice
Congrats! Have one also, works 100% with OEM Glock 32 L barrel. Glock 23 mags feed both cartridges flawlessly, OEM #2 32 mags I have nosedive 357 but feeds 40.

Congrats! I picked mine up about a week ago. The finish on it seems to be more of the flat finish (same as my 26 and 20, but my 21 has the shiny finish). I opted to keep the 5.5 trigger as this is primarily a carry gun, but after about 750 pulls it's smoothed out nicely IMO...

Congrats on the new G23! I thought that you were a .357SIG kinda guy?

I'm considering a newer G23 (mine is a Gen2) but already have G22 and G27 and a new G32 on the way if I want to shoot .40 on a Gen4 frame that size.

What are you putting downrange to break it in?

Congratulations! I just bought one too....Feb/2012 test fire date, so mine is still in diapers!

I haven't owned a Glock in a while, so I can't remember how the trigger compares, but mine doesn't seem too bad. Seems very much like a stock M&P, in terms of weight and a bit gritty.

My 23 has a late Janurary test fire date also but the ejector has no markings on it. It does eject beautifully @ 3:00 and high about 5-6 ' out.

I had to get it on somehow.

Yes, in due time. I still have all my 357sig carry ammo sitting on my desk begging to be used.

I was having nosedive failure to feed with my glock 32 as well.

I'm hoping that the trigger gets a little lighter with repeated shooting. wish me luck!

Haha, you know me too well Bean. I'm going to eventually get a 32 barrel for it, but for now it's going to be the cheaper alternative(.40sw).

For range I have WWB and Federal FMJ & Hornady Critical Defense 165gr HP, and Speer GD 165gr HP.

Will be back with the report. :)

I bought one in Dec with 10/10/11 test date. It's my fourth Glock but first Gen4 and first .40 cal and I love shooting it and carrying it. Flawless at the range so far and even though I was a strong fan of the Gen3s, I have to admit that I really like all of the Gen4 features. Enjoy it!
