Picked it up 2 hours ago will shoot it on Friday. Supposed to be Grey but compared to my 43, I can’t tell the difference.

I don’t know of any center fire handgun that is easier or more fun to shoot! Congrats! You can wear that pistol every day in no matter what you are wearing. Happy Glocking to you!

How could anyone not love the smallest Glock?

    It's so cute and shootable.

Only Glock that we have 4 of, 2 for carry and two for the range bags. I shoot at least 200 rounds per month in mine. My wife usually just under 100. They all perform flawlessly.

I picked up a pre-owned unfired 42 earlier this evening. Still has the factory bronze lube on the slide rails. The seller bought it for his wife, but she prefers her LCP. It'll go nicely with my 43 and match my wife's 42.

She prefers her LCP because she never fired her Glock 42.

You will "FEEL" the difference the first time you shoot it, the G-42 is nothing compared to the G-43.

I may be double posting because I can’t help but to sing praises to the 42 in every pertinent topic I find, but the 42 is the softest shooting center fire pistol I have ever put my mitts around!! I like the 43 also, but Glock did not achieve the harmony between power factor of the round and the weight of the slide with the 43 that they did with the 42. Two handed I am excellent with the 43. One handed and off handed would take a considerable amount of training to get to the place I was with the 42 on day one (using defensive ammunition- 115 WWB is just a kitten compared to +P defensive rounds in the 43—to me YMMV). If I never knew about the Glock 42 I would probably pick the Walther PPS, shield, and XD over the 43 for I believe they have a shootablitly edge over the Glock FOR ME. My pistols are defensive weapons with reliability and shootablity being the deciding factors. I kinda think Glock would do well with a Glock that same size as the Kahr P380 and I would probably buy it, but I would hope that would take 42 mags and I would strap it to my ankle. I consider the 42 (caliber be damned) as they smallest “fighting” pistol in the world. It is just big enough to manipulate and fight with FOR ME in the same way a man would run a Glock 19 or 26. I have skinny hands and long fingers. My pinky is not flailing in the air on the grip of the 42. I run it with the stock floor plate and magguts+1. The Kahr trigger design does not lend it to be a “fighting” trigger FOR ME. Just rambling on guys with my morning coffee!! Hope everyone has a great day! HAPPY Glocking!!

Okay so it is Tuesday, I have not been to the range yet. But hopefully tonight. I did disassemble and clean my G42 and noticed there was no anti seize or lube on the rails. Are USA glocks not lubed from the factory?

Mine came the same way; dry as a bone. You're going to love your 42.

I just picked up a grey framed G42, and it has the copper grease in it.

Love my 42’s as well! I carry and compete with mine and they are gems. To me the size is perfection for balance between carry comfort and shootability.
