For me 45acp in a G30S is pretty easy to control;it is my chosen self defense caliber/Glock.

this is my fav glock, had a 30SF before, but the 30s it even better.

From the 100 + rounds I have shot thru it so far I really think the recoil is very mild for how light and compact the gun is. i had an XDs 45 and did not care for it too much I do like it in 9mm however.
I feel this one fits my hand better than the 30 sf and the gen 4 G30 I used to have. I prefer the thinner slide to me it really makes the gun just feel exactly right.
I have a Gen 4 G21 on order have have an RMR being installed on it.

I like the gun but I would prefer the 9 round mag. Hate that big bottom plate on the 10 rounder.
