    Hey guys,

Well, my girlfriend's family is really getting into guns. Her father (who has had his ccw since I've known him) sold his G23 and bought a SIG P226 Elite .40 (I was going to buy his glock just to hold onto for when he decides the 226 is too damn big, heavy, and bulky to carry but he sold it to another guy he knows). Her brother bought a G27 with Crimson Trace lasergrips, her mom bought a Kahr CW9, and my girlfriend bought a Beretta PX4 Compact 9mm (one sweet ass gun). I figured since everyone has just bought new guns that it was my turn, so I picked up a Gen4 G26 yesterday. I haven't shot it yet, but it does feel great in the hand. We are all planning on shooting at their farm today and I'll let you guys know how she does.

The only thing about buying the G26 is it adds another potential carry gun to the rotation. I always end up, no matter what new guns I buy, going back to my 19 for carry. I find it to be the perfect all around pistol, and if I could only have 1 handgun, it would be it. I almost feel like I'm cheating on the 19 by buying the 26. I also have a 30, SIG 239, and PX4 Subcompact that I sometimes carry. I tell you, the more guns I buy the more difficult it becomes to decide what to carry. People in other places might call me crazy, but I know you guys know what I'm talking about.

Hope you all have a great Easter.

The 26 compliments the 19 very well for carry options. It's a smart battery of like operating, like mags, like holsters.

I find many situations I can conceal the 26 with more discretion than a 19 through the course of a year. Our Gen 3 G26 has been superb and the new Gen 4 G26 has likewise been outstanding for it's first 570 rounds.

I've run a lot of drills from the FAST, to El Presidente, to The Test, to draw to A zone hit at 25 yards in 3 +/- seconds and the Gen 4 G26 gave up VERY little to the G19.

Sounds like everyone in the family has a midsize/small 9, and you've already got a couple of your own.

So, sell the 26 and go the other direction.. get a 20SF or 29SF and some nice full-power 10mm; e.g. Underwood. Pistols that sound like rifles when fired are all kinds of fun.

Already have a 21 and 30. Really don't see the need for a 10mm. If I need a pistol more powerful than a .45, I'll grab my shotgun or rifle. If ammo for all of these guns wasn't so damn expensive these days I would probably feel differently. Thanks for the posts guys

I had a 19 and traded it for the 26 and never looked back, i would much rather have a 26 over a 19 any day, the 19 is a nice gun but to big for ccw compared to the 26. If i could only have one glock 1 gun it would be the 26, along with my uzi of course.

sr556m9, my prediction, for whatever it is worth, is that you will be carrying the G26 more often than the G19 and the G30. Let us know how you like the new G26.

Congrats on the G26! I generally have the subcompacts rotating through for carry, and every now and then I'll carry something different. For the most part, it's a G26, G27, G30, or G33 I'm carrying. If I had a G29, I'd be carrying that one too.

Well I shot about 60 rounds through the new G26 today. It was absolutely flawless. I was able to keep my first 5 shots on a post-it note from about 20 feet away. Not bad for a brand new pistol and my shooting skills. It is one sweet shooter. Was also able to shoot my girlfriend's brother's G27 and honestly could only notice a slight difference in the recoil. I really love Glocks!!!

I just sold my gen 3 G26 for the gen 4. I will be picking it up at the end of next week. So excited! I know how you feel regarding "cheating" on your guns. I say, get your girlfriend into carrying then, you won't ever have to feel that one of them is getting lonely. Because they are both AWESOME guns!

my g19g4 is at bedside now. g26g4 is primary ccw. i still keep extra g19 mags in each car and several around the house. thats the good thing about getting the larger sizes first and then going smaller.

I love my gen4 26. I carry it everyday. I think its definitely a good gun. If I can get my hands on other subcompact glocks that are OD or FDE, they will definitely be in my collection.
