So, I really love this new Gen 5 - 17.
All I really wanna do is help the trigger out a little. To be quite honest, it ain't too bad outta the box.
So, I wanna do as little as possible.
Would just getting a 3.5 connector help a little?
I dont want to have to remove material or anything like that. I was thinking about a 3.3 connector, but doesn't it require filing off material and bending it to fit?
    Please excuse my ignorance gang.

I added an OEM minus (-) connector to my 19X. It lightened the pull, but I wouldn’t say it made it better or worse, just lighter. The Gen5’s are such a departure that just making a change like the connector doesn’t do much. Like you said, the trigger is pretty decent, for a Glock, right out of the box. I’d just stick with that.

Yeah, I've actually been wandering about doing just that.
    Thanx man.

Minus connector is all I do. But I would recommend you to re-visit this after you have around 5k through it, if you aren't already there.

I would wipe it down and put a drop of oil here and there , shoot the crap out of it with all ammo types and then see how you feel . Good choice .

    Will do. Thank you!
I must add, I really could not be happier with this Gen 5 17. Feels incredibly good in hand.
Heck, I called Glock, for a born on date, and turns out that she is only a few weeks old! She was born 12-30-2019!
Lol, I thought she was awfully fresh when I opened her up at the LGS! :)

As others have stated, buy ammo and shoot it!
The trigger will get better as the shooter gets more trigger time!

Just depends on how you personally prioritize range time. Taking actual training classes would be most ideal, but that's not always practical for people to do consistently. So, in theory, to to hit 5k in a year - that would equate to just under 200 rounds per session if you went to a range every two weeks. Even at worthless slow-fire ranges, it wouldn't take more than about 30 minutes without distractions to send 200 while plinking. And if you can set aside about $2.50 a day, you can easily afford the ammo.

Ammoseek is great source to find good prices on ammo.

And don't forget to dry-fire every chance you get!

Man, do I like a good DeSantis Speed Scabbard!
Have one for a Sig P229 too. Just a really nice holster in my opinion.

I think you'll absolutely love it.
I honestly haven't felt the need to do anything to it, other than maybe lighten the trigger pull just a bit. But, I dont think I'm gonna do even that.
The reset is really nice too.
This thing feels so dam good in hand.

Buy a case of 124gr. FMJ(1000 rds.) and after you shoot the case up,you will be surprised by how much the trigger improves,as well as your shooting is better. Glocks just love to be shot.
