My 2005 X3 3.0i reaches the end of its 4 year warranty in November and I have been thinking about replacing it for awhile. I found a 135i with 6 speed manual but my wife and I couldn't get past the "metallic red" that really looks orange with copper highlights. If it looked red we would have bought it but it just looks orange to us. That car drives wonderfully though. 300hp/300lbs/ft at 1750 rpm 0-60 in 5.1 seconds is great in the little car. the 1 series has been available for about 3 months now and the dealers cannot keep them in stock especially the twin turbo 135's. They had a 128i convertible with automatic but again the color combo wasn't right for us. I considered ordering a 135i but the wait is six months because BMW shuts down during August and everyone wants the 135i it seems. After thinking about it we decided to get a 4 door car since we have a family which makes more sense anyway. They gave me 20K for the X3 which was over Kelly Blue Book and I got a nice discount as a repeat customer along with 3.9 percent interest rate. I bought a black on black 328i with sports package and paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Here are pictures of the two cars.
