    The guy owns Manchester Firing Line and Range in Manchester, NH. It's a decent place, and their prices are pretty reasonable.

    The New Boston Police Chief's name is Christopher Krajenka. My experience with him... HE'S A ******!!! He was the resource officer at Goffstown High School when he was working for Goffstown P.D. This guy has always overstepped his bounds, and has absolutely no respect for the laws that he is supposed to be upholding. And it's not just my memories of him from school, but I work with a few people that live in New Boston, and they have nothing good to say about him either. He aspires to run for a political office, and GOD willing it will never happen. All he does is harrass people... Always has, and as long as he has some kind of power to abuse, he always will.

    I hope that the owner of Manchester firing line is successful in his lawsuit, and that this costs Krajenka any chance at a political office, and preferably his career in LE too!

    I'm the Dealer that had those firearms illegally taken by the New Boston Chief. I can understand that he would have to act on a DV Petition, but to come to me because the Defendant turned firearms over to me for consignment 4 months ago - is crazy!

    This all unfolded last night around 7:00 or so. My Lawyer filed against the Chief this morning. The Manchester Union Leader just called me,someone is supposed to get back to me on Friday.

    In the interest of public safety, there was no concern with the firearms here, The Defendant had no right to take them back,or could he pass a NICS Check, with his DV Petition in effect.

    More will come soon - I've called all the Pro-Gun NH groups also.

    Well, that clears it up, some. I'm not one of those who "demands" someone to post a "link, please" when they are talking about something they personally experienced. Seems like if the firearms are in your bound book, he definitely might be on the wrong side of this when it unfolds.*

    *Statement refers ONLY to the police chief in question, and in NO way reflects on the huge army of LEOs who do a great job every day.

    So what is the proper chain of custody in a situation like this? If a gun owner consigns or pawns a gun and then becomes ineligible to claim it, who's property does the firearm become? Can the consignment/pawn ticket be transfered to another person?

    Not really my business or anything. But did the xustomer come in four months ago in relation to maybe knowing he had anger/temper/whatever issues and he decided to remove guns from the equation? Not knocking the guy. Just wanna say it was GOOD of him to do so if he was worried he had some kind of issue at the time.

    {There are two kinds of DV complaints filed. Real ones and fake ones.}

    I used your range a few times back when I lived in Nashua.

    Good Luck!

    How long has this guy been Chief in New Boston? I once had to deal with a pompous Goffstown suit while I worked curb security at MHT one time. He parked an unmarked car in a police parking spot, without telling anybody (unmarked cars were supposed to tell the airport police that they were coming, and that info would be relayed to me, as I was the curb supervisor). Basically, the guy was a ****** when I asked him about it.... wasn't my fault he didn't know/follow the proper procedure.

    I don't know if it's the same guy, but it sounds like it could be. :)

    Report to ATF that guns were taken by armed, uniformed people pretending to be acting under the law?

    what do you put in your bound book when that happens?

    Particular state law may vary, but in general the gun owner is still the owner of the firearms. He just cannot possess them. He can sell them and the FFL would turn them over to the new owner.

    Happened once, we arrested a guy with a legal machine gun -- not gun related charges. He sold the gun to his lawyer and had it transferred to him. Wasn't a problem.
