I ordered this awhile ago and it came today. I'm so tickled, I keep giggling to myself.

    What caliber is that?

Cool idea. How about a vest, with those as buttons?

    Or earrings?

It looks like a Winchester .38 special, or at least the bottom of a shell casing made into a ring or necklace piece

It's repurposed brass (in this case a ring). This one is a .38 special but she uses others, and different crystals. She has all sorts of jewelry, including cuff links, and her website says she does custom work too. I'm really really happy with it.

Wouldn't VR spring for something in the large-pistol-primer size?

I just hope that was split brass and didn't take away from VR's reloading population... ;)

Looks like she's in San Diego. I had a credit from a flash site which is how I found it. I'm gonna start saving for more!

I used to have cufflinks that a local silversmith made out of .45 rounds. That's a nice ring.

I took a friend of mine (female) shooting for the first time. She shot a .357 mag. Took the nickel/brass from her first shot, ran it through a brass cleaner, deprimed it, pulled a silvertip and loaded it into the brass. Dripped JB Weld into the primer pocket with a double hook.

Made a purdy necklace, it did

    Nice ring!

That's a neat piece of jewelry, but I have to wonder how well it goes over in the area you live in....

The Truth is, most people probably won't know what it is unless I point it out, but I have a firearms reacted bumper sticker on my mom movie and no one ever says boo about that either.

    I bet it did!

    That's nifty!

I actually approach any jewelry purchase with the thought " COUKD I make this myself and would it cost more in my time/materials". In this case I can say its much nicer than anything I could have done myself. It's not fine, lock it in the safe jewelry, but it's very unique I think!
