I picked up my Kalashnikov USA receiver yesterday from Weston Arms in Davie, FL, here are a few pics:

After I got the receiver my wife and I went to lunch and then she dropped me off at Chili's to hang out with a few of the Sunday regulars and talk to adults (I'm a stay-at-home dad for our two kids, 8 & 10). After a few drinks and some great conversation I headed over to Total Wine & More to get a couple things. I decided to pay cash since my items totaled less than $20, and I NEVER pay cash but today I did. I handed the girl my $20 bill and she gave me my change, three $1 bills and some coins. She looked at one of the bills and read it but I didn't hear what she read so I said thank you, got my change and left. I got outside and read what was stamped on the front of one of the bills. Here is what it said:

A sign perhaps that the receiver I picked up just hours before was a wise purchase or just a weird coincidence?

I think it's pretty cool and wanted to share it. :)

Do not take this as a negative comment, the receiver and rear block fit looks good, but I'm concerned about the trigger "hump" that is missing on yours. I hope it does not affects on the installation of the trigger group. Otherwise, congrats on the receiver. I myself would like to get me one because, the only way I'm going to get an AK chambered in 25-45 sharps, is if I build it myself!

    Can you elaborate on this?

And, thanks, don't know if I will ever build on it but couldn't pass up a nice AK receiver! :)

OK, I see it, but only on two of my 12 AKs (not including this new receiver). The ones in Bold have the "hump":

    Norinco GSAD Type 56S
    Norinco Type 84S
    Chinese DDI-12
    Russian Saiga-12
    Yugo M70AB2
    Yugo M70B1
    Yugo M92PV pistol
    Century Arms C39V2
    Romanian WASR-10/63
    Romanian PSL-54C
    Romanian "G" kit on NDS-3
    Romanian Mini Draco pistol

My "G" kit on the NDS-3 receiver has the Tapco G2 trigger group and it works just fine. Not sure if it's just the Romanian AKs that have the "hump" but only two of my four Romanians have it.

Thanks for the info though, I never noticed that "hump" before.

Stevie Wonder must have been running the roll mark machine that day.

FYI, Stevie Wonder is not actually blind, just thought you should know that.

Thanks man, I appreciate that. I admit I don't know as much as some of the guys on here but I have been collecting AKs since 1988. It's a constant learning process and I have no problem admitting that I am still learning about them.

Very nice! And if you're going to build it, please post pics of the whole process!

I'm not going to build it myself, I don't have the equipment or the knowledge to do that. I used two rivers arms in Oklahoma City, OK to build my Romanian G kit into a rifle but, if I find a reasonably priced kit for this receiver, I'm going to have Robert at Weston Arms build it.

Don't worry, I will always post pictures of my new AKs!!!

    I have 4 AK's. None have a "trigger hump".

2 Stamped, 2 Milled, No humps.

Because the markings aren't straight. Surely the pic doesn't make them look that crooked?

And Stevie might not be blind, but he sure can't see very good.

Trigger humps are only on select models and are not necessary for proper function. No need to worry

I would have bought it at that price also.

I have a friend with a shop and I’m slowly getting the confidence to put one together myself.

Still in the research phase, but planning to give it a go at some point.
