Well, since my brand new S&W 325 Night Guard literally LOCKED UP on me during dry-fire, after 50 rounds at the range, I took it back to the dealer, and got things fixed. While I'm sure S&W would have made it right, I would NEVER trust that gun to do anything other than be a range toy. So, the dealer took it back, gave me this brand new Rock Island Armory M1911-A1 Tactical, and cash to make things square. He even threw in a few Wilson Combat 47D's as well. This is my first 1911, but I've detail striped and field striped them before, so I have an idea of what I'm doing. I will say that the first thing I noticed is how tight the gun is out of the box. Very good for the price. The trigger is pretty darn nice as well. Looking into the chamber, the feed ramp and throat are polished from the factory, which is a plus. Overall, I'm very happy with my first 1911, and can't wait to shoot it! I heard great things about RIA 1911s; hopefully mine won't be any different.
