Just got a new G36 today and have been getting comfortable with it. This is my 1st Glock, also. Got 2 mags and have been messing around with them. Noticed one had a little more resistance when pushed in. Observing both, saw a small corner of plastic has come loose and bent back up by the nose.

Should I be concerned with this? cut it off? how did this happen? Here's a pic:

pick it off and don't worry, my 39 mag had something like it. Took it off and has worked perfectly. The joys of plastic my friend.

Mine did the exact same thing. I performed the circumcision with a razor blade.

Thanks. Researched some old threads and found other people's experiences. Cut it off and buffed the edge. I'll be blasting away in the a.m.

It's always nice to hear from a happy G36 owner. Mine goes with me everywhere I go and hasn't let me down yet.

Being that it's my 1st Glock, I studied the mags a little closer. That front lip is much higher than any other gun I've had. Does the nose of the round touch this as it's moving through? Some pictures I saw on other threads actually show this piece being bent towards the ramp a little. Normal? I'm sure the engineers got this dialed in to the millionth of a mm, but man that seems high. Whucha think? Pics here -

Congratulations on the 36. It is my favorite CCW pistol. Looks like you have all the advice on the Mag you need. I hope to be shooting mine this Sunday! :wavey:

All four of my m36 mags did the very same thing first time I used the mags.
Sharp knife, problem solved. Weapon has never had a hicup.

All four of my G36 have had that little piece come a little loose and bend back, one of them enough to prevent it from seating properly. A little surgery with a pen knife took care of all of them and they work beautifully.
