I sold my P22 to fund a new Target Pistol(which the P22 was not)
I am looking at the Browning Buckmark or the Ruger MKII OR MKIII.
Gander Mtn. has the Browning Buckmark Camper for $329 which is in my price range. I really don't want to spend over $400. Any suggestions??
    Thanks

i would go with the ruger. i had one for many mango seasons. shoot offen, clean little. never given me any problems. will drive tacks. i would look around for a better deal than gander mountain. they have some of the highest price guns that i have seen. try bud's gun shop on the net or other places to check prices.

I'm a Ruger Mark II guy, myself. :)

I'm in MI, too. If you have any .22 related questions, feel free to PM me.

Ruger MK II or Mk III. I have both and don't really like one more than the other. Some people get bent out of shape about the LCI and mag disconnect on the MK III, but, doesn't bother me. Mag disconnects only bug me on carry guns. LCI is stupid... but doesn't cause my gun or shooting any issues.

I have heard the Brownings are great too though. One thing I would avoid, other than what you just sold, is the NEW S&W .22 crapola offerings (model 41 is great, but out of your price range).

    The Ruger's & Browning's are great 22's
I have one of the new Crapola S&W's(22A)-A 41 it is not-but it's good to me and is WAAAAAAYYYYYY more accurate than I am

I have the Ruger 22/45 and a Beretta NEOS...both are fine pistols for target shooting. I use the Beretta more in local Steel matches and it works great.

I'd go with the Ruger MK II Government Target.

I ended up going with the Browning Buckmark. I picked it up last night for $329. Can't wait to test it this weekend. I am planning on picking up the Beretta Neos next.
I need to order some mags for the Buckmark. Anybody know of a place that has them for a good price?

I would buy a MK II or III Ruger, and drop a Volquartsen kit in it.
