Well... After thinking it over I traded my Gen3 19 and a (GASP) HK P2000sk 9mm LEM for a Gen 4 19.... And 1/2 of the price of a gen 4 FDE 17 today. I only took the 19 home(and to the range) today. I was/am happy with the deal as it was only a bit less than i was going to ask in a private sale. I still owe a little bit more on the 17 and didn't want to put anything on the credit card... so it'll have to wait a few weeks.

Anyway, I took my new 19 to the range as soon as I left the shop. I was going to clean and lube it there. I disassembled the 19 at the range an said "what the hell" I reassembled it without adding any lube or cleaning it.

    I fired 100 rds of mixed 115 and 124gr then 100 rds of 147gr hydra-shock.

I had no issues whatsoever. I also shot my 27 with some issues... But that's for another thread.

I truly enjoyed shooting it more than my Gen3! It seems much more accurate but I'll attribute it to the Gen4 fitting my hand better than the 3. It also seemed to have less felt recoil.

In all I'm extremely happy and can't wait to get the 17.

Glad it works good for you. My new G17 gen 4 worked great too. I hope that Glock had worked out the bugs with the gen 4s. I hope to be adding more to the collection. Waiting for a G30 gen 4 to come out.

Your not the only one letting go of HK's and aquiring Glocks. A Glock is just more comfortable than a USP to me and I just shoot better with a Glock.

I kinda went off on an HK kick for a bit. They really are GREAT firearms! But I guess in the end Glock works out better, for me anyway.

Did any brass hit you in the face? It seems the recent ones aren't doing this.
