    Hey Everybody,

I'm new to GT and just wanted to say thanks for a great site! I just picked up my first Glock today, a 19, and can't wait to shoot it. I had a hard time deciding between the 17, 19, 26 or 27 but I think I made the right choice.

Does it matter what type of ammo I use for the first 500 - 1000 rounds? Thanks again for making the decision easier.

Just avoid the cheap crap like Amerc and Wolf, and stick with known domestics like Winchester USA, Blazer, American Eagle.

I agree. For your first one, the mid-size Glocks (19,23,etc.) are a good choice - big enough to shoot pretty well, but small enough to carry for self-defense.
