Ever hear of a Mossberg "C-Lect Choke" shotgun barrel? Kind of like a Polly-choke.

Nice barrel, 26 inches, with ventilated rib. Good blue with no rust! $20 out the door!

Fits my 500 perfectly (my Mossie is an 18 inch barrel mariner with Magpul stock.)

Seems like you have to be there at the right time, unfortunately the workers at mine have first dibs and suck up all the rare stuff.

Well pawnshops, some of them, are where I find super buys.

Like when I found three knives for $14.99 each. One was a Kershaw, ho hum, another was some odd make, but the third one (they were all fixed blades) was upside down and I noticed the sheath said... RANDALL. Yes a Randall 5-3. I kid you not. Stag handle. I told the lady just what it was and that maybe they should reconsider. She said, "Management marked it at that, so we sell it at that." Yes I bought it, of course! Paid $17.02 for it.

Or the Wolf & Klar 5 inch .44 Spl. I bought for $270, tax inc.! Or the Colt Government Series 80 1911 in... .40 S&W. $700. Go look that one up gents.

Or the National Postal Meter M1 Carbine I got at another one for $340, tax inc.

Yes many pawnshops have junk... but now and then one can hit the jackpot!

Me either but have known a few folks that have. I know a guy who ran across a 1962 HK G3 (earliest semi HK import) in a pawn shop for $800.

Within the last two months I have bought a Springfield XDm compact in .40 S&W for $200 out the door, and a Canik TP9SF Elite for $260 out the door at a pawn shop near me. Sometimes you can find a great deal at pawn shops!

My local shop had a S&W Regulation Police, I-frame, .32 long for $350,made in 1914, looks almost new in box condition. They list for $800+ in that condition.

I used to work next door to one, I'd go there first thing in the morning as soon as they open the doors. You gotta get there before the good stuff's been picked through by guys like me. ;)

It happens. I picked up a Cold Steel Tigershark (made in Seiku, Japan, home of the samurai swordsmiths) at a pawnshop in Ft Smith Ar. Shopkeeper said he had a display case full of "chinese junk" and there it was. $20 dollars out the door. Last time I checked they were running about $200. I have made some finds over the years.

The beauty of the pawn shop is the sheer randomness of things that can be found. There's only one problem with that...what's displayed for sale is always changing and you have to be there to see them!
