Hi guys! I need your expert advice. What shall I do when my Glock goes auto(without my intent)? I have triple taps(for want of a better word). Are there parts to check or replace?

    Thanks!

I feel for you, my brother.

The gun is useless and what's more, it's dangerous !!

But me, being a nice guy, I can have it disposed of safely at no cost to you.

Please send the gun to :

    Mr R Mandurugas

Did you change anything before this happened?

OK, now for some serious comments -

Probable cause, in my mind -

The guns has been tampered with.

Aggressive 'smithing' on the cruciform sear.

Have you been using lead bullets on your pistol? Could be that dirt (wax) has accumulated in the firing mechanism. Happened to my G17 when I was using lead bullets. I experienced three round bursts. I informed Glock HK about the problem, and they instructed me to send the parts to Glock Austria without cleaning them. Glock Austria tested the parts on another G17 and there wasn't anything wrong with the parts. Nevertheless, they replaced the parts with new ones.

Or, did you perform 'smithing on your Glock?

My Glock has not been smith-ened.
It's probably one of my significant fears- not putting the parts back.
I mustered enough courage to disassemble my G35's frame and just wipe clean all parts, put them back and hit the range. It somehow cured the problem, but I'm only 50 rounds through. I hope it doesn't recur.
Though I'm also considering the rounded sear in the cruciform theory.
    You've all been very helpful.
    Thanks a lot guys.

I just wanted to update you. I was able to solve my G35 problem at the cost of a new firing pin and a new trigger bar assembly. Now, she's running smoothly again without the episodic triple taps.
I also learned how to disassemble the frame and slide myself. Necessity brings out the best among us.
    Thanks for all your inputs.
    Best regards.

Any images / descriptions available for the old firing pin and trigger bar assembly? :)
