His name is Mike. He is an officer for the county I just moved from. He's the guy who was brave enough to let me ride along with him.

He called this afternoon to ask me to say prayers for him. His doctor found two small fatty tumors along his spinal cord. They are the type that are not and do not become malignant. He's just concerned, a little scared.

He's important to me. Ours is one of those rare LEO/non-LEO friendships.

Please say a few prayers for his piece of mind as well as healing.

Mike and Mrs. RussP, retired RN, are trading emails. He's feeling better about the situation, just pissed that it is happening. If he wasn't I would worry.

We gave him our riding lawnmower when we moved. He said having that really helps, much less pain than using a standard mower.

He's also looking at changing duty belt from leather to nylon for the weight reduction, less strain on his back.
