    Gentlemen:
I need info before buying a Sig 1911 Carry.
This gun will be used for home defense & plinking.
This gun is 7.7 inches in lenght.
This Sig has a 4.20 inch barrel.
This gun is stainless steel and handles 8 to 9 rounds of ammo.
My questions are (1) Has anyone shot this model Sig?
    (2) How is this gun's reliability?
    (3) This gun's recoil?
    (4) Accuracy?

    Members thank-You for your input!
I am a former Marine so 1911's I am not new to.

The Carry model is basically a commander length 1911 pistol. The ones I have seen are all stainless. Sig has stepped up their quality for finish, detail ,hard parts and lockwork. Without question they are among the best in the $1000 neighborhood. Better and more consistant triggers than Kimber.

I have started carrying a new Sig GSR Target model. Perfect function Very nice.

I would own a Carry model.

i carry their 5" model, i would buy a later carry model the first ones they had a problem with, seems like the barrel? my gun dealer carries nitron one, he has no complaints and is getting 4 sig 1911s in next week, if he gets a carry i will be buying it if it is a nitron finish.

I carry a Sig C3 most of the time & it has bee 100%, feeds everything & is very accurate. For a $1000.00 it would be difficult to do better in my opinion.
