I have a problem with my computer or something deleteing my Win XP Notepad and Word Perfect10 documents. Its nothing important but it is Very Irriating to me. It is only my exercise charts and other notes to help me keep track of my daily task and activities. Do any of you know what might be causing this deletions?

I also have Norton Internet Security and AnitVirus. I cant find any intrusion or viruses anywhere.^2

I've never heard of that happening with XP.

Are you sure the documents were saved where you expected ?

If I were you, I would use the XP SEARCH function (it's on the Start menu) to see if these documents are still out there somewhere.

Give it file name (or partial name) if you remember one and have it search "All local hard drives".

If it finds some, note which folder they are in.

You might also look in the Recycled Bin to see if the files were in there.

    Hope this helps !

Go to the Start menu and go to Recently Opened Documents (dunno where it is, just poke around) and see if you can bring up one of the ones you're talking about.

Then, if it opens, File/Save As... and see where its default to save is.

WHo else uses that pc? or knows your login name? Check the trash bin, check your temp folders, there maybe a temp file that you pull back info on. Are you on a cable modem? Do you have a firewall. Hackers can run programs to enter your pc and delete files to annoy you. (unless you are protected)
