Bro need your expertise regarding this.

Somebody is selling me 40 cal bersa mini thunder, is this a good gun? is it worth buying? I'm planning to buy a carry gun, I prefer 40 cal.

I'll appreciate your comments and suggestions.

Thanks

Is this a remote case or downside ng bersa yung tigas ng bakal niya?
Nabiyak ang slide?
Bersa metal is actually on the tough-soft side, rather than the tough-brittle.

The Bersa Thunder 9 is a winner wrt reliability, accuracy and user-friendliness.
Its brother the 40 hasn't been as popular, but that's as much a function of the
cartridge's popularity as anything else. The Bersa Thunder series of pistols are
designed as PDW's, not sporting-competition guns.

If you're going to be putting over 30,000 rounds through it, it'll fail.
You can try Googling MRBF's for military service pistols to compare .

h.
Kung pang carry , wag 40 unless you reload your own ammo or practice w/ orig ammo
Most 40 reloads here are tailored for major loaded match 1911s

If I had a ptc , sigurado stainless na 38 snubbie
I've carried a sig, combat comm., p14,cz,beretta pero settled on the snub
Endless reason why semi autros would be better than a snub , pero they mean nothing kung di mo dala kasi mabigat
Plus unless your a cop , the reason for carrying something more substantial than a revo is mostly for psychological reasons
Kung may direct threat or may dala kang payroll , I'd be more concerned w/ tactics and threat evasion than the hardware or hindi nalang ako lalabas ng bahay
I heard that Bersa 9's are a good daily carry FA. Marami sa kilala ko lady shooters, carry this...

Not to lead you all out of topic though... I'm curious sir allegra, how come a lot of private person i know, prefer to carry a snubby for CCW. Even among my friends in the AFP. Kahit na me 45 or 9mm issue, snub pa rin back-up. Mas me advantage naman pistol pagdating sa capacity di ba? :dunno:Me i carry a G26.

I'm thinking nga of getting one for my wife instead of a 22 pistol. But havent decided yet.
Short of a squib blocking the barrel/forcing cone, a snubnose
revolver is jam proof. If a cartidge turns out to be a dud, just
pull the trigger again to fire another.

If a magazine pistol conks out on you during a shootout, hey,
good luck with all of that TRB voodoo. Better odds if you do a
New York reload --which more often than not brings you right
back to a snubbie.

I'm an ipsc guy or used to be so I'm not qualified to talk about tactics
Pero I'm guessing parepareho kami ng reasons
Kasi snub kahit san mo daladala pwede , walang batangal kahit nakababad ng matagal ang bala
And siguro , your afp friends know na pagna ambush ka at outnumbered , a hicap semi wont matter. Running away would be a better option :)

I think a 22 semi would be the worst choice for a woman
38spl manageable ang recoil, it's the blast at ingay ang nakatakot for ladies
Nothing that training cant address

I have to add , napansin ko nerbyoso ang baril ahem
Wala kasi ako tiwala sa sarili ko matatandaan ko mag trb pag nag malfuction baril ko ,especially when someone is trying his best to shoot me
But case to case, maybe women are braver than me haha

+1 for the snubbie. latest nangyari dito sa amin the range was so close a snubbie would have performed admirably. it was in the news btw.

Kaya ko nagunstuhan yung snubbie , I had a stock stainless taurus 85 dati I could shoot 8 inch plates at 50m sa SA ( dati yun ha :))
Shooting down a plate rack at 10m was surprisingly easy at double action

i'd stick w/ stainless

Thanks for the info bro! At least for me, it is confirmed that many (at least) really favor a snubby for realiability. A good reason not to choose one.
