I plan on buying a knife for EDC. I have not owned a knife in a long time. Check out a few benchmades and zero tolerance, but not sure what to get. I want American and under 200. Any advice is appreciated.

Ive been carrying Bencmades for years and no plans on changing that.
Good knives and excellent customer service.

i contacted them a few years ago because my Benchmade Boost was looking kind of worn and I wanted to buy new scales. They had me send it to them. They replaced everything but the blade and they sharpened that. Sent it back to me, no charge.

Some threads and some fellas here talked me into a Spyderco Endura 4, and I couldn’t be happier with it.
I have a few BM fixed blades and a couple of Microtech OTF’s, but this Spyderco ia #1 in my rotation.
Good luck

One has been in my pocket every day I've had pants on, for better than 20 years. Excellent knife for the money.

I carry a Spyderco PM2. What a solid knife. Just big enough for me to carry 90% of the time without being too big. I have many knives, but my PM2 gets carried most of the time. Kind of like my G33 chambered in .357Sig. The pistole is small enough to carry comfortably, but the caliber is big enough to take care of business.

Lots of good suggestions so far.

I'd like to throw in CRKT's M16 series knives.

I have two of these, one for my truck (five years new) and one that I've carried for 15+ years.
One example, there are different blade lengths/shapes/options:

American and under $200, man the sky is the limit!

I’m 100% going to recommend a Spyderco….but which one?

Blade size? Overall length? Any local blade size restrictions? Handle material? Blade steel? Do you already have a sharpening system?

I love my made in Golden, CO Spyderco’s, but please don’t discount the made in Seki Japanese Spyderco’s!

Under 4 inches, and that is it. Spyderco has made in America knives? I thought they only made them in Japan.
