I am looking for my first cast iron skillet. I don't have the time to search for one at a flea, antique, estate, garage sale, etc.
    I want a new one.

I see that Emeril has one for about $30 at Macy's. It is made by All Clad.

I also saw Walmart had 3 sizes by the camping supplies. They were all Under $20.

Any suggestions? Online is fine as long as it is not expensive.

I use Lodge. Once they're seasoned, and kept that way, they are as good as any non-stick cookware out there.

I've had all kinds. Lodge is the only way to go.

    Lodge.

EDIT: Made cornbread in my Lodge skillet. Coated in butter, made up 2 Jiffy mixes, poured them in the skillet, and baked it. Since I always cook in it it already was seasoned. The cornbread came out perfectly, and I just wiped it out, and put it back.

    I love that skillet.

Lodge here as well. Just don't wash it with soap unless you plan on reseasoning it.

I have Camp Chef ones. Never heard of Lodge before. Maybe I'm missing something here as almost everyone said it. Love cast iron for cooking.

    Lodge.

I have three fajita skillets and a flat iron square skillet.

Once you have them seasoned good, clean up is a breeze. Water and a paper towel takes all the grime off.

    Love the Lodge.

How many are you going to feed generally?

The 8 and 10 are good sizes to have. 12 if you have 4 or so in the family.

All of them if you have the room.

Don't get the enamel ones, just yuck.
