Just playing with it to get the feel for it. So far I like it.
curiuos, as to what you did, since the second version is not as sharp as the first.....
nipperwolf, Neat Image is a noise remover. However, I do not see much noise in the original image. Application of noise removal may make an image seem softer. Perhaps that's what you are seeing.
That was the first image I ran through NI. I have a few others I am still playing with that I'll post later.
I see, now. oops. :embarassed:
I've read about that software but never used it.
Well, what are you waiting for?
I wish I had noticed the ficus tree peeking out from behind
misskitty5077, did you experiment with Noise Ninja as well? What were your comparative impressions of those two? I have used Noise Ninja a little bit (only the freebie version, with limited scope of adjustments), but never Neat Image. Do you use the latter as a standalone, or as a Photoshop plugin?
It's a standalone. I never got anything from Noise Ninja I was happy with, but maybe I didn't give it enough time? Neat Image was easier to use and produced the results I wanted fast so I kept it around.
