Get the place to write you a c.h.i.t. that says you have them ordered and it'll be two weeks before you can get them.

That way you don't have to stand the inspection...

(EDIT- since when did GT censor the word c.h.i.t.?)

Glad I dont have to do that crap anymore. Have you tried the NEX online? I had uniforms with name tapes already sewn on delivered to the Gulf in less than two weeks.

    Okay, I'll bite.
What's the purpose of blue camo for the navy working uniform?

To blend in with the ocean? If you're actually in the ocean, you generally don't want to blend in with it; you want to be seen so you can be rescued.

To blend in with the ships? The ships are haze grey.
    Grey camo I would understand.

Can you still make a life preserver out of the pants like you could with the dungarees?

That blue camo is the damdest uniform I ever saw.

Are you sure you can't just go off base ad get it done? Every place I've ever been has a tailor outside the gate who could do them while you wait.

Since 500 children on here decided it was cute to try and get around the filter by typing that instead of the "S" word.

Actually, it sounds like the best thing it does is hide oil stains and other work-related staining on the guys and gals doing the messy work.....

Since the day GT fell in lock step with everyone else in this world who is overly PC.....LOL. Frankly, I'm surprised "LOL" isn't censored.

We (and the Navy) had coveralls for that. And we did NOT stand inspection in coveralls!

the camo pattern is suppose to better hide paint? so i am told? that way your coverall don't become unserviceable at least they are wash and wear. but i still like my utilities even though you have to press in the creases

Does the Navy not authorize using the old name tapes on the new uniform for the first X many months of the new issue? That is what happened with the Army and ACUs..

They were rolling these out while I was at GTMO, the NEX clothing sales had a display and a place to order them. They look like a pile of puke to me.
