I think I will try to go, but fear trying to park. With the snow, who knows how much room there will be. Dulles Expo Center 4368 Chantilly Shopping Center Chantilly, VA 20153
They lost about 20% to snow packs, plenty of space at the Expo center. Maybe about another 20% tables that were empty, either between the snow or being Friday.
Didn't have any trouble finding parking, but did have to walk a ways. Only saw a couple of empty tables. Lots of AR parts there. Plenty of ammo and even primers at a couple of tables.
I went yesterday and today- no problems parking but I wasn't close up- My brother and I scored big! He picked up a FN SCAR Tan for $2600 and I got a Glock 26 OD with pearce floor plates for both magazines $480. Ammo is a rip off there so I stopped by Dicks on the way home and snagged a few hundred rds of Remington 9mm JHP's 115 gr. Considering Glocks sell for $535 and up at the shops around here, I think I scored big time and an OD no less!!
great price on the G26.. i bought mine at the show last summer and paid $525 and only came with 2 10rds from Trader Jerry.
Bought mine from Mike with MC Leather & Sporting Goods out of Madison Heights VA at the show. Give him a call 434-401-4341 or e-mail him at mcoffey7@verizon.com next time your shopping for a Glock or when they're coming up next to have something available. I plan to. Mike and his partner are really nice guys!
I am going to go up in the morning and see if I can find a good deal on a pump shotgun. Maybe I'll find some deals with people selling their personal weapons.
They have snow? Interesting. Good thing we decided to leave early tomorrow instead of getting of their today.
Dropped by tonight (2/11/11) and I have to say I am AMAZED at the prices! I mean, LOW prices! Glocks for 489, Berettas (M9, 92A1, 96A1) for 550-599, etc! ARs for 800 and up, and decent ones at that. Ammo, too, was reasonable. 1000 rounds of XM193 was 350-400. It's a bit cheaper now on the 'net but that's not bad for cash and carry. PMC Bronze 223 for $6 per box/20! Lots of tables, lots of guns. ARs are everywhere, Smith and Wesson seems really hot. Last time I went was a few years ago and everything was the stereotypical rape-me pricing. Rabbit Ridge Enterprises had some of the best prices on pistols. I don't know them from a hole in the wall, just what I noticed. Seems like a great show this time around if anyone is wondering. -Stooxie
Look at the thread dates. The part about the snow was from 2010. No snow now except for little piles here and there where the plows pushed it up.
Thanks, vafish for clarifying that. I was confused at first and saw some posting with 2/15 not realizing in year 10. going there this morning. getting a gen 4. not sure if i am getting a g17 or a g19.
Can I find a new G21 (non-SF, non-comp, black, not the matte tenifer slide) there, and legally purchase it with a VA driver's license dated 1/26/11?
Yes you should be able to find a gen 3 G 21 full sized. No license needs to be 30 days old, unless its renewal.
I figured - wasn't sure if it was required for a private sale, but I suppose there is language about the seller not having reason to know that the buyer is not a state resident, which is proved by a 30-day old+ DL. I've read the statute, but was more interested in being on GT, and figured I already knew it was a no-go. I'll have to wait a couple more weeks.
