What else could possibly explain the fact that when I got home she was gone, and the lights and TV were still on.

    What? Am I friggin' Rockefeller?

Sorry man, you pulled up so suddenly I had to get out before you came in. No time to clean up after myself.

I'd be shocked if the lights weren't left on with my wife. And she wonders why we go through light bulbs so often.

Another month and all the fans and air conditioner will be ON.

I hear ya. I thought about buying a spider monkey and paying to have it trained to follow her around and shut the lights off after she leaves the room. It would probably be cheaper!

I'm sure she knows this, but just in case...my wife asked me to pass this one along for her.

If you set your A/C to 58F in the summer time, the house will cool off faster than simply setting it to the desired temperature.

Light bulbs suffer much more stress being turned on and off than being left on. That light bulb in CA that is over 100 years old and still working never gets turned off.

I feel your pain. My wife never turns on the TV but has never learned that light switches can be turned off. She sets the A/C to 71 degrees and then wears a sweatshirt because she is cold.
