I'm trying to get rid of it quick...look in Misc. Non-Gun Stuff in the Want Ads forum if'n you're interested.

Let me know if this isn't allowed. I figured I'd post in here since alot of folks don't make it to the forums they don't usually go to.

I'm sorry to hear that it doesn't work for you. It sounded like you had accommodated the ergos of it. The timing (not sure what's happening at work) and distance (upstate NY) preclude a serious consideration right now. Good luck on the sale!

Welp...just got off the phone with a guy from Kentucky that's gonna buy the Thruxton. I'm gonna meet him in Nashville (half way) on monday to let 'er go. I'm taking a beating (losing about $600) but since they deferred the payments till October when I financed the bike I actually haven't paid anything on it yet, so a few hundred bucks ain't that bad. It took me a solid year to sell my Harley, I figured it would take nearly that long to sell the Thruxton since it doesn't have a very wide following, but I guess I'll settle with five days. The market is just saturated with used HD's, and there's only about 32 Thruxtons on Cycletrader right now nationwide.

I'll be bike-less for a few months while I wait and see how the 07 Harleys are holding up, but that'll give me a chance to work on my CB750 project, and this is the busy time of year for high school band directors anyway, what with football season coming up.

Yeah, I really wanted to fall in love with the old girl, but after a ride of only about 200 miles this past sunday, I was ready to ride her into a ditch so I could collect the insurance money. ;)

So, the ergonomics were that bad for you, huh?

Yes...very. I can't stand to ride it more than 50 miles in a stretch.

Aw man, that's a damn, damn shame. But why not trade it for the Bonnie?

He would be out more than $600 if he did that.

Yeah...I called the dealership and asked how much I'd lose if I traded for a T100...he said something like over $3000. No thanks. Oh yeah, here's a picture of the old girl all dressed up for a ride to her new home on Monday:
