I recently purchased a Remington 870 synthetic with 18.5" cylinder bore barrel which came with a +2 magazine extension and their "tactical" forearm. I have since added a Hogue Overmolded 12" LOP stock, Scattergun Technologies oversized safety and a Mesa Tactical 6 round shell holder with rail. I also have a Burris Fastfire II with picatinny rail mount on order and hope it will be in soon. This shotgun will be mainly for play but I do intend to use it for deer hunting as well.
I'm hoping to get out to the range tomorrow and start breaking it in with a boat load of bird shot and a dozen or so rounds of both slugs and buckshot.

Post up some post break in action reports. Patterns and load info would also be nice.

Will do. I usually photograph my targets for later reference. I'll mainly be using the cheap Remington bulk shotshells from Walmart and I have 150 Fiocchi nickel plated 00 buck rounds to run thru it. I'll need to pick up some slugs as I'm down to just a handful of Winchester rifled slugs.

I know you're being facetious but other than the red dot sight, everything I added was "practical" not "tactical". I'm mainly adding the red dot for accurate slug placement for deer hunting. Where I live, shotguns are required for deer hunting.

OMG!!!!!!!!! I just had a flashback of me, standing on the driveshaft 'hump' of Dad's '54 Ford Customline, and Dad saying those same words.]

Nice setup, I have an 870 Tactical that I added a few things to. The surefire forend is expensive, but worth every penny.
