When you send him in, get him something to sound record with, heck let him have something all the time and when she starts ranting he is ready. She cannot deny what she said. I also love how a few bad teachers and now all our bad. Simply amazing

I'm 22 and attend a state college, Colorado State University. I am a senior economics major, and all of my professors, including the Dean of Economics, is Republican. No they don't try to indoctrinate us, but they do a good job of explaining the facts.

Just to say, not all colleges are liberal.

Indian Education class? WTH. Just another reason I will be sending my children to a private christian school. The indoctrination there is parent approved.

I never stated that all colleges are liberal. But many prof's are. I have 30 years in at the university level and I have heard just about everything. I know many liberal faculty that enjoy, to no end, molding the minds of their students.

Better yet, train your child to be a mole, dress him in barry wear. Have the child keep you informed and keep records. Then start a very subtle conservative campaign in their ranks.

If I understand the OP correctly, this is not an option, but if it were an option, and say each student did exactly as you have laid out in your post, what is your best estimate of the outcome for EVERY SINGLE STUDENT unfortunate enough to sit under this teacher's socialist rhetoric and leftist political indoctrination?

The "indoctrination" has been going on for 40-50 years, at minimum (during Vietnam there were kids who left class to protest the with their teachers, etc).

Yet ~30% of registered voters are Republicans, 30% are democrats and the rest are independents.

In short, "indoctrination" doesn't work, for three reasons:

The people who agree with the teacher were going to agree with her anyway (i.e. there are a percentage of people who are "born liberal" for lack of a better word).

The people who disagree with the teacher were going to disagree anyway (i.e. there are a percentage of people who are "born conservative", for lack of a better word).

And the rest don't care, they're at school to check their messages, buy drugs and hook up a date for next weekend.

That's why I say smile and nod. It's an unwinnable battle. Like Afghanistan. And like Afghanistan its an unwinnable battle for a desolate, landlocked pile of rocks (i.e. a public school) filled with ungrateful savages and ruled by corrupt kleptocrats.

You do NOT know your history on this issue, and I'll go further and advise that IMHO, you wouldn't understand it anyway.

It's been going on for over 170 years and the only thing that kept it at bay for so long were the religious and spiritual convictions of the Christians in this country. For some reason the Christians did exactly as you would have this student do; namely, Christians did not object and actually placated the political activists when it came to the role of the public schools in America (ca. 1962 and beyond), and since then ALL American parents with children in America's public government school system have been losing ground in the battle for their children's lives.

Once it was said, "When an opponent declares, 'I will not come over to your side.' I calmly say, 'Your child belongs to us already… What are you? You will pass on. Your descendants, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing else but this new community." - adolf hitler

In essence, if one reads between the lines, hitler was letting parents know that regardless of their objections and outspokenness on a personal/political level, as long as parents allowed their children to keep attending "his educational indoctrination centers," then he would win by way of future generations not remembering even a single iota of the parent's heritage of liberty.

To placate this particular type of teacher with the indifference you are offering means success for not just the teacher, who more than likely is merely a useful idiot in this case, but you are assuring that the stratagem of the real tyrant behind the scenes is an outstanding success as well.

On a tangent, the good old, American style of marketplace competition lends itself fantastically to the educational system in place here in America, but I suspect you'd wouldn't understand this ideology or concept as well.

As far as politically, I come down in the center. My wife and I are middle class, and I know that neither party really wants to help us with anything.

Reagan T-shirts: Is it just because the former President is dead because I just don't get it: When he was in office, deficit was out of control, oh yeah, and those pesky weapons going to Iran. I wonder if those will be used on our troops if we ever go after Iran? Hmmmm.

You should take this to the school board and administration. Don't put your son in the middle. How would you react if the teacher was praising Mitt Romney?

My belief is that politics and religion has NO place in public school.
