I've had my G30 since about 1999. I'm not sure how many thousands of rounds it's consumed. The last time I cleaned it, I thought I'd inspect the barrel more closely. I was surprised to see how "subtle" the lands and grooves have become. :)

I compared it to my G19 and noticed a significant difference. I guess it's time to replace the barrel in the G30.

Does anyone have recommendations? This is for target shooting and defense. I don't plan on competitive shooting.

    Thanks in advance!

It will look different from other Glock calibers. The 45 auto and 45 gap use octagonal rifling and other calibers use hexagonal rifling. If it still keeps decent groups then it is not worn out.
I do not believe I have ever heard of anyone wearing out a Glock barrel.

I was unaware of the differences in the rifling between Glock models. I'll shoot it more and keep an eye on the results. It was a little less accurate at the last outing, but it may have been that Wolf ammo I fed it.

Wolf is never known for accuracy.
