Here they are:
Sly is the Siberian (colored) and Isabelle is the Alaskian (white)
Beautiful dogs JeremyS. I always wanted a siberian until I did some research and found out how fixated they are on running/pulling and not really caring where they go as long as they are running or pulling.
How well do they handle those Bama summers? Isabelle really has a wolf look to her. Very cool pups.
JeremyS, those are a couple of beautiful dogs you have there.
What's the difference between a Siberian and an Alaskan?
Looks like a nice kennel set up too.
Here's a shot of my two rascals.(I couldn't resist)
Pay no attention to the guy in the back.
The white one is Bubba and he's an Alaskan Malamute.
The liver and white on is Patty-Cakes and she is a Siberian Husky.
I don't know why but I like this picture of them.
Those are all fine lookin dogs. Some friends around the corner from me who I also go to church with have a Siberian husky who hates black people. There used to be two little black boys who lived in the neighborhood who used to throw rocks at him (These two boys were trouble makers anyway.). Otherwise He's a great dog, and has always loved me. I feed him when Roy and Sandy go out of town.
They handle the heat pretty well, I bought them a kiddie pool to lay in, so they love laying in the water.
I would like to bring my pups inside, but I'm not sure I could house train them.
JeremyS, how long have they been outdoors, or rather not in the house? If they have never used the house as a toilet then it should be rather easy to train them. I'd start with short trips inside while watching them. If they're used to going outside they'll catch on quick. As I'm sure you know Huskies are pretty smart.(too smart for my own good sometimes )
I love having my dogs in the house with us. They are much happier being indoors with the rest of the pack.
