Okay, I have been disheartened by the ACR. I hope those that end up buying them like them and end up felling like they got the deal of the century on them. For me, it's time to move on. I started thinking about what I really want, and came up with this:

here's what I want: a quick change system that allows me to use 5.56, .22LR, .308, and maybe 9mm and .45, and, shoot - since I'm dreaming, .410 and 12 gauge.

Also, it will have interchangeability with Glock and AR parts, and the mags will be a single platform, all you have to do is put your existing PMags or Glock mags inside the adapta-mag, and it will function flawlessly in my dream gun. The stock will hold the bolts and tools required to switch configurations.

Ambi-controls. It will have a red dot with a dozen settings that are bluetooth-keyed to the bolt changes, so your sight is zeroed when the proper bolt is on place.

ANd now is where it gets really nifty: it will have an auto-lube device, and will require only a clean patch to completely remove all fouling.

It will have a cloaking device, which will make me and the rifle invisible and imperceptible to metal detectors, infrared, and sonar. It will be completely silent and have no recoil.

It will print currency from any country, automatically translate and broadcast my voice in any language, including primitive binary dialects.

It will have a 10-terabyte music player and a self-inflating keyboard that types on itself. Finally, it will smell like fresh-cut grass and make my you-know-what smell like pine citrus.

It will imbue me with undeniable charisma, so that everyone I come near will be inclined to rate me as likeable and agree with my will.

    Anyone else interested?

Like the above poster said, don't sell the idea to Cerebus, you'll end up with a greasy stick that gives you splinters when you try to hit the bad guys with it.

And you thought the ACR was expensive. Something like this would be twice as much. However if it was made by HiPoint it might be reasonable then.

Really what you want exists, in a regular AR15 and changing uppers. (forget the .308 and 12g). Also a 12g AR15 was introduced yesterday at the SHOT show.

Does this fit your ideal image of the ultimate AR?
