The day is here. George emailed me 5 days ago to tell me my Pro is ready. $2,450. Hell of a deal. :whistling:

I decided to pass on it. Geroge may still have it. Non railed Pro.

As for the wait, I don't know? George had already put like 6 of them on order, and I just added my name. He was going to sell them once they arrived, regardless of if he had pre-orders or not. It's a great deal, but I recently bought a house, a new car and had my 2nd child. Don't really have $2500 in the "fun" fund right now for a gun that would spend 99% of it's life sitting in a safe. Someone hop on it!

You're willing to drop $2500+ on a gun you know absolutely nothing about? :dunno: Although, I will say that this is one gun, that's in that price range, that you can drop that kind of coin on and NOT be making a mistake.

It seems to me certain 1911's are pretty decent investments. Is this a Springfield Pro shop gun, I wouldn't drop 2500, only 2450.

Haven't taken shots of the bren ten, but it's absolutely like a new gun.

Come on, pals, whatsa pro and where is it ?

The Pro is a civilian verson of the FBI issued 1911 and is built by Springfield Custom.

Gotcha, so many "pro" of everything these days. Wilson Combat has a pro, sears has a professional model sander, etc.

    Thanks, I'll check it out.

I like it better than Wilson's Pro. Its also less expensive if you don't mind waiting.

not exactly. the pro is the fbi spec'd 1911 and it is made one way. there is no fbi vs. civilian version, they are all the same. only two variants, rail or no rail. they are built with orders for the fbi and other LE agencies filled first, then the rest are offered up for civilian orders.

It's worth the price and the long wait.
