My PK-23 red dot arrived today. will be testing it out on the range once I got the side rail attached to my AK rifle hopefully this week. Thanks to kevlarsix for helping me bring this in straight from Russia. Initial impressions. Optical clarity is good, I would say as good as the aimpoints I have used. Looks and feels sturdy and like what others who own it says, built like a tank. It has 1.5 MOA. And 10 brightness settings. At setting 7, I brought it out in bright sunlight and it does not wash out. It's flickering red dot though small is very easy to pick up. It is also 30mm so aimpoint rings will work with the optic. Will also work with ARs and other rifles using weaver or picatinny rails. Research in the internet state that it has 1000 hours battery life so it should be more than enough. Runs on 2 1.5 volts watch batteries, very common and easy to find. It has unlimited eye relief and my research says that it is also parallax free. It is also a true 1x optic. I'll see if my initial impression holds true when I test it out in the range This particular optic is being used by Spetznas and Russian MVD and other military units and is battle tested in the Chechen wars.
