Always thought that would be a good business to be in in tough economic times. Have you noticed an increase in repos over the last couple of years?

Actually the opposite, less people seem to be buying.
I have recently started recovering equipment for John Deere Credit and that part is BOOMING right now

A couple, but I don't get caught often. When I do I'm polite and understanding and explain it's not personal just a job. Most people are calmer than you would think. (The fact I'm 6'0 and 280# and not sloppy fat helps too I think)

That is a pretty cool rig!

I know that people are not very fond of the "repo" man and whatnot but I have had a serious blast a number of times with a friend of mine who is a repo man. He has a truck with a "hidaway" and loves his job. He works in Houston and it has been a while but I enjoyed (sometimes) taking a ride with him to do repos.

Repo men have good stories...and half of them are true

I don't tow/repo but we built a tow truck at work last year on a 1 ton pickup. We took the lift and body off an older truck and put it on the newer one. (The old truck was busted up bad, whoever put the lift on did it bass ackwards and it tore itself apart)

I like your rig, toner pickups are too light to tow other large pickups in my opinion.

What is your rig rated? 2 ton? 2.5? It looks like it would work well being as short and beefy as it is.

They seem to always be "camping" or outdoor world supply or something like that ..

we had a guy who was a repo man, who also towed vehicles for a bar downtown ,

dont know if he was a legit towing company, but i dont think so, at least no name on his truck or anything,

but it was one of the hide away truck bed units ..

You'd think, but it doesn't seem to pan out that way. Not that I've heard of, anyway.

I have a sneaker truck also but I prefer the COE the ford kinda sits around at the house except when It's needed for hauling a trailer.

1/2 are true? kinda giving us alot of credit

I wear a vest and carry. That along with situational awareness and knowing when is the "right time" goes a long way. I have only had to pull a gun one time in 9 years and the guy ran when he saw it (his wasn't loaded) I feel thats a good track record.

GVW is 14050 I have hauled 1 ton duallys from the front with it. My ford barely lifts a 1/2 ton from the rear! (02 f350 ex cab 4x4 dually with V10 and airbags) the motor is strong the rest isn't.

I looked @ 4 dodges before I bought the isuzu they all had bent frames! I love a dodge truck but call dodge about having a wrecker built on their chassis and they tell you "Don't do it the frame wont hold up"
