Im thinking of adding another Glock to the collection, not sure yet which one to get...Im thinking of getting either a G30 or a G23 RTF2. Mainly I will use it as a CW. I had a G30 before in which I sold, and I miss it. Right know I dont own any .40sw. I love my G19 platform for CC, and really like the G23 RTF2. Any suggestions? If you had to choose one for CC, which one would carry?
    Thanks.

Pete, I'd be inclined to get the G30. If you already own a G19, seems to me that the G23 wouldn't be any different other than the caliber. The G30 is a bit chunkier. Are you carrying IWB?

I've had both and for some reason I found the 23 to be a lot more snappy than the 30 and I'm was much more accurate with the 30.IMHO

I carry both IWB and OWB...prefer OWB. Dont mind the recoil on the .40sw, I own a Colt Delta Elite and Desert Eagle in .50AE, Im a recoil junky.

I would highly recommend the both. But for me, the G30 is more accurate and recoil is very nice

I hear ya Pete. Also one thing to consider.....if you get the G23, you mayuse the holsters you have for the 19.

I'VE OWNED both and alot of Glocks and now im down 2 a G30 due to being laid off! :( but I LOVE MY G30! I carry IWB with a Belly band most of the time and it feels the same as the rest to me....but with the G30 you know there will a big hole wheree u aim it. The diffirence between the .40 and .45? Well its like saying id be ok with a smaller ***** cuz i know how to use it..rather than a big one that gets the job done and satisfies! Lol! Hope i dont get in trouble for that comment!! :) I LOVE GLOCKS!!! & my Big *****!! (.45) G30. If u cant hang on to a G30 we know you r used to holding small things! Lol!

Own both but you will find that it is a matter of preference.

For example I love my g30 - my edc. Mrs loves her g23 - her edc (although I suspect if I got her a 36 it may replace the 23).

I have no issues with recoil on the 23 but I do agree that it is a snappy round. The 30 just seemed to fit my preferences more. You really can not go wrong with either of the options.

New G23 RTF2 with ...Now I have to get rid off all my .45 defensive ammo, and stock up on .40sw ammo if I get the G23

Pete, is that your "final answer"? You can't go wrong either way, friend.

Good decision, Pete! You will like the fish gills (I do). How much ammo are you trying to sell?
