    Hey GNG'ers -

It is with an extremely heavy heart that I share this sad story. As a lot of you know, I recently took possession of a new 2010 ZR1, and it was a very happy day in my life. I've been enjoying it (legally, of course... :whistling: ) thoroughly, until... yesterday.

I've made mention of my Type-1 diabetes in the past. I have them under very tight control via exercise, good eating habits, and an insulin pump. However, every so often, the tight control bites me in the backside, and I slip into an unconscious insulin reaction.

Apparently, on my way home from work yesterday, that happened. I honestly don't remember what happened. I came to with my face against the deployed airbag of my car. One of Fairfax County's finest was with me, making sure I was OK. The best he and I could tell, I went unconscious and just steered (safely?) off the road, plowing the front end of the car into a tree. No one was hurt (including me), no other cars involved, and other than a small dent in the tree, no other property was harmed.

However, the front end of my car is flat. And, the wonderful aluminum chassis in that car, while strong as hell, has bent. Once that happens, it's curtains for the car.

Good thing I have insurance on it.

    Good thing it's 1 April.

I have to admit though, I read through about 1/2 of it cussing and raising hell before I remembered what day it was then stopped reading and scrolled down to the bottom.

I remembered it was April 1st and instantly I scrolled down to the bottom to see the punch line.

Were it true it truly would have been a dark day...

Some people in this world cannot live without the superficial attention they seek and need to make up for what they really lack.

My four year old told me the cat puked in my shoe. I couldn't tell why he was laughing. Then he revealed the date. Little stinker.

Nope, I'm pretty sure the insurance would lapse on April 1st had that happened. My agent would probably say, over the phone, "Jason who? Who are you again? *click* ..."
