I finally found me a nice 1953 STAR B. This particular one has all matching numbers (including the magazine) and also has the German Police crest on the base of the magwell.

Hello and congratulations on a peach of a pistol in my opinion. I find it sad that these "graceful" autoloaders are no longer in production. Over the years I managed to own and then let a few Model B 9mm's foolishly "get away". I managed to find one of the last ones and still own it. Foolish to some, I had it customized a bit and it still serves well to this day.

I hope that your Star serves you well for years to come.

    Best.

    Very nice, JR.

Just don't go including that in your 1911 group pics. :tongueout:

Anyway, I like the model B myself. ;)

No worries mate. BTW, Monday I will be picking up a late 40s Ballester-Molina .45. It will go well with my Colt Model 1927 EJERCITO ARGENTINO.

    Cool.

I'm looking to pick up a Molina at some point myself.

I like the Spanish and Argentine 1911 style pistols.

    Thanks.

They're extremely solid guns. Built like a tank, actually. :)

What surprises me though, is how good the trigger is.

Here is a picture of my Star Model A. No MIM or stamped parts on this baby! Shoots great and non-corrosive Largo is only about $7 a box of 25. Art G.

Very nice. For some reason I have always liked those. Haven't seen any at gun shows for a while now though.

Congrats jrs93accord, I wanted one of those back in the 1980s when they were dirt cheap but I was broke then. I know if I had one I'd love it since the 1911 is so sweet.
