Hey guys! I wanted to share my new-to-me Springfield TRP Operator, with full rail. After a 5 year search, I got lucky enough to find one about 30 minutes after it had been posted for sale and was the first to say "I'll take it"! I was always too late with prior sales. Had to sell off a bunch to afford it on such short notice, but it's finally here.

I hope to shoot it later today. From what I've read, I'm expecting great results, given I do my part. This is the second 1911 I've owned, and will say that I wasn't impressed with the first, a Kimber CDP II. I'm a Glock guy for sure, so the 1911 platform is totally different and foreign to me. I'm sure I'll learn to like it though. If I don't, you may see it in the "Classifieds", but it will likely just end up in the safe. I don't tend to keep guns for long, as my safe seems to have a revolving door, as does my attention span...HA!

    Wrong forum, nice pistol...

See if you can get a mod to move to General Firearms or 1911 forum.

Oops...I've posted general firearms threads here before. Wasn't aware that was wrong.

I have the 'Loaded' in stainless.

I like that rail. I might send mine in to their custom shop someday and have that done.

A pistol like that should be permitted to be posted anywhere.

That gun is so ugly. I'll do you a favor and we can meet FTF at a FFL and I'll take her off your hands as a personal favor:supergrin:

That is a VERY nice pistol, but I think the big rail ruins the classic lines of the 1911.

Unless it's going to do HD duty, and NEEDS to have a rail on it for a light and/or laser, I really don't care for rails.

You could use the rail to put a vertical foregrip, I suppose.

Nice heater. Springfield makes some Nice firearms.
I have a Colt Mk IV Ser 80 STS, and a Kimber CS II, love them both.
Buddy of mine picked up a Kimber Warrior the other day that is the deffinition of a "Well Oiled Machine" that sucker feels mechanically perfect.
I am a Big Glock fan and EDC either my G-17, or G-26, but Nothing feels or shoots better than a good 1911.
