I don't know that he has Polish lines, ..............I'm going to try to make sense of his pedigree.
The Polish female is just coming up to breeding age.
Otto's mom is done, with this litter, they are retiring her (third litter)
Everything up til now has been some kind of rescue or whatever. We kind of ran out of GS rescue prospects.
Well ya can't rescue them all, seems you've done your part at rescue so you finally got to pick a brand new one of a breed you seem to like. Otto is probably the cutest puppy I have ever seen. Please keep us posted with what's up with Otto. Later.

He will be solo eventually, the border collie is near the end, have to pick him up sometimes, not always able to get up on his own.
My last GS died this summer, got guilt from not doing better by him..............kind of a rescue and had baggage that I didn't spend enough time trying to overcome. Had something wrong with him, vet never could give us an answer what was wrong, blood tests never came back right.
The border collie, had a good deal of baggage, pig headed. Pretty smart though.
Nice to have one without baggage

We ALL got some baggage, ya know? As long as they have you and you them, it's all good. K9s never seem to care about our baggage, just want someone to love and work with/for, that "quality AND quantity time thing"

I'd say Otto is a very lucky dog (and damn fine looking) sir. Enjoy the puppy love.
