OK, for those annoyed with the term "shotty"...

Here is my new Remington 870HD shotgun...better? lol

I sold off my Mossberg tactical for this, a shotgun Ive always wanted.

I decided to keep her simple as my mossy had too much crap on it and it wasnt enjoyable or easy to shoot.

My personal favorite. Lifetime shotty. I have almost the same setup except the magazine extension is a Tac Star. You did great.

Simplest is more often times the best in terms of defense. Recommend you still take her out and do some serious practicing.

Very nice. I just bought an 870P myself and want to keep it simple and clean like yours. I don't understand why people put mostly useless crap on their shotguns. JMO of course.

Have you considered putting a tritium front sight on her? If it's a dedicated HD gun, you might think about that.

Yeah, I agree. I just ordered a XS Big Dot front bead sight for mine. It looks perfect for a HD shotgun.

    www.brownells.com carries the Big Dots.

When ordering small parts like this I usually go with Brownells and choose the $3.xx US Postal shipping service. They arrive in my mailbox 2 days after placing the order. Order on Monday, at my door on Wednesday. Padded envelope or small box.

    Shotgun XS Big Dot(Brownells) $60

I have one making it's way to my 870 Des Recon right now. :) But I had a large parts order so it had to go UPS. Will be here on Tuesday.

I'm guessing your 870P probably has a pedestal bead like mine. In that case you will need the version on the left pictured below.

On the phone now but as noted try Brownells or XS direct. I went XS direct for just the front bead, $60.
