    Bialetti Spazio System pasta pot

Made by Bialetti of Italy (same folks who make those aluminium stovetop espresso makers).

VERY heavy gauge aluminium construction. This is not one of those flimsy "pasta cookers" you see in discount stores.

Water heats quickly. Lid locks and unlocks easily. Water drains rapidly. Handles are very sturdy and stay cool to the touch.

Elongated shape allows long pasta shapes to be readily submerged.

The only drawback, I think, is the size. 5 qt. capacity is adequate for cooking a pound of pasta but the pot could stand to be a bit bigger...6-7 quarts would be better.

    $29 at Target

    Thanks for the tip...
I bought a couple Bialetti sauté pans at Target and I'm REAL happy and impressed with them...
