My New (old) Gen 2 G19 w/pics

    I went down and got my new to me Gen 2 G19 out of layaway today!!! I gave it a good detail strip/clean and light lube. It was born on Feb. 1990. The pistol looks great for its age. Nothing inside looks to be out of order. Called Glock and they are sending me some update parts.

    Function/safety checks and dryfiring with snap caps went without issue. The trigger and reset on this thing feels nice. I don't own a trigger gauge, so I'm not sure of the weight. Cycled some snap caps through with both mags, and with several of my newer mags and all was fine.

    This is the first Glock I've held without the finger grooves, and I must admit, the grip feels pretty good.:supergrin:

    It has the standard Glock sights. And all internals look to be stock. I should be able to get it out tomorrow for a run through at the local range...can't wait!!

    One thing I forgot to mention is that it has the 336 ejector.

    Congrats, just traded a G17 gen1 for a second gen 19 that looks exactly like yours. No regrets....

    Yeah. Unlike the Gen 4. I have 2 of them, and both came with the new ejector. I've had no problems with mine.

    I am pleased with how the non-finger grip frame feels. It seems to feel a little better in my hand than my Gen 4 G19's:dunno:. I guess I'll see tomorrow if that translates into me being able to shoot it as well as I can shoot the gen 4.
