    Picked it up today!

She is a beauty for sure. Not sure if I will replace the "hot dog bun" with the MI quad rail because I really prefer wood on my AKs.

    This is AK #9:

The action is smooth as glass too!!!! I am really loving this thing and I haven't even shot it yet!

    Comments, advice, experience? please share!

    Thanks,

Nice! Put some stain on the hot dog bun to match the grip

    Thanks.

I HIGHLY reccomend this thing! It feels so good in the hand and is actually pretty light considering it's an AK. I really think it is going to be one of the most collectible guns in the past couple years.

    Get one while you can:wavey:

I hear ya. I shot one that a friend brought to the range about a month ago and I was shocked at how accurate it was. I may pick up one sooner than I intended.

They're kind of cool but the ones I've seen are ridiculously priced

Very cool. Let us know how it shoots. I plan to get one to SBR in the future.

If you want to keep the wood furnature, consider one of these:

    Congrats. I love mine.

Tips: clean and lube it before shooting. If you can find extra polymer recoil buffer blocks buy as many as possible. I am sure they will break eventually. Stain that bare wood. Have fun making huge fireballs!!!!

    Thank you all.

I took a few more pictures and will post them later tonight. I do have a couple questions which I will ask later.

Regarding the last pic....I got the muzzle nut pin to come loose but I still can't unscrew the muzzle nut. What gives?

Also, I heard these guns are 100% Romanian built and DO NOT have any US parts added.....is this true?

    Thanks all,

    TGG

It's has a small tack weld on it. Check on AR15.com in the AK pistol section for info on ways to remove it. Most use a Dremel.

I left mine welded on as I have no intention on attaching a flash suppressor or anything else. I want a short AK not a short AK to put stuff on the end and make it long again! Also I figure it's solid so there's nothing to move and possibly affect the accuracy of the weapon.

    Enjoy your new gun!!
